The answer is no, so you have to know your temperament, qualities,
attitude, characteristics, and behaviors to be sure you can become a successful
salesperson.
I am sure you don’t get it yet, and that is why you should listen
more attentively to Brian Tracy saying,
“I have found that there is a constant thread that runs through
the lives and activities of all the highest paid sales people in every
industry. What I found is that top salespeople are almost identical in many
ways.
Sometimes, as an exercise in a sales management seminar, I will
offer to describe the top salesperson in each person’s company. I will explain
his or her qualities, characteristics, behaviors, and attitudes in some detail.
The sales manager or company owner in the audience will inevitably
ask me. “How can you be so accurate in describing my best person?” Then I tell
them that it’s because all the best salespeople are cut from the same cloth.
They all have pretty much the same temperament. They have the same
attitudes and attributes. They trigger the same feeling and responses from
their co-workers and their customers.
They all do very much the same things in the same ways, over and
over, and they get pretty much the same results.”
